Resumo: The present study analyzes the performance of the Agroamigo microcredit program (BNB) in the agricultural region of Sobral - CE. To do so, the study is subdivided into two sections, so that, in the first, it is sought to verify the influence of the program on the level of income of the beneficiary rural worker in the said region. In addition, the first part of this study seeks to emphasize the profile of the rural worker in this region, considering the variables chosen. In this sense, a methodology was used to capture the effect of the Program on the level of income through the use of scores that determine the matching of groups of beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries, for comparison purposes. Thus, the probabilities were calculated based on a set of observable characteristics, and, later, there was similarity matching. With the method used, it was verified that the Program has the expected effect in the area of income promotion. By means of the mean effect on the treaties, the positive influence on the income of the benefited rural worker was detected, considering the probabilities or calculated propensity scores. The second section aims to investigate the default of Agroamigo beneficiaries in this region. For this, a binomial logit model was used to measure the impacts of some categories on the probability of default. After the results, it was concluded that the only activity that contributed to reduce delinquency was goat breeding.
