Resumo: The ABNT NBR 15575: 2013 Standard - Performance of Housing Buildings - establishes minimum requirements and performance criteria in architectural and engineering projects, as well as in the construction of residential buildings in order to guarantee quality and comfort for the user. By listing such parameters for building, as an integrated whole or for specific systems, the Performance Standard becomes the premise for the beginning of any activity in the Construction sector. Due to the complexity of assimilation and application of the standard as a result of different factors in the public and private spheres of work, and even in the academic environment, this study aims to develop a design method aimed at meeting the Performance Standard of Housing Buildings focusing on the work process in architecture firmas through an approach from Design Science Research (DSR). The method adopted, which establishes the creation of an artifact enabling the resolution of a real problem in Civil Construction, consists of the following fou stages of conduct: Awareness, Conception, Evaluation and Analysis, where actions will be developed that go from the identification and deepening of the problem through Systematic Literature Review (RSL), elaboration and application of the Actions Protocol, validation of the artifact through Exploratory Focus Group and Functional Test (Black Box), product analyses obtained and final modeling of the artifact. This work resulted in an artifact in the area of Architectural Design and Civil Construction, in order to diagnose and elucidate the main technical and tooling difficulties encountered in the process, disseminating the knowledge of the Performance Standard in order to accelerate its consolidation in the Architecture sector.
