Resumo: |
An analytical solution was developed to evaluate free-draining sloping furrows based on WALKER and SKCGERBOE (1987) volume balance approach. Its application allows to obtain the system performance mathematically instead of a graphical analyses. Solution is based on fitting equations to potential models, computing areas under curves, from which system performance is obtained. The method can be easily programmed using Pascal to speed up results allowing irrigation simulation. Validation was done by using field data from six trials at "Fazenda Experimental Vale do Curu", Pentecoste-Ceará. Results were compared to WALKER and SKOGERBOE (1987) methodology. Three hypothesis were studied: (1) application of the required irrigation depth; (2) application until water reach the end of the field; (3) application in excess. Research results showed that both methodologies, WALKER-SKCGERBOE (1987) and the Analytical Method may be used in field evaluation of furrow irrigation systems. The Analytical Method may be used to simulate irrigation events. |
