Resumo: Analyzes the South American regional integration and the New Latin American Constitutionalism Democratic, especially represented by the constitutions of Ecuador (2008) and Bolivia (2009), whose features have brought new light to the constitutional law at the universal level, as which gives primacy to the rights of nature, the epistemological and legal pluralism, participative democracy and human rights, with emphasis on a policy of "buen vivir". It will address about UNASUR, as latest attempt of South American regional integration, understood the two movements in a dialectical and symbiotic relationship, as if punctuating the New Latin American Constitutionalism Democratic can contribute to the process of targeted integration by UNASUR. Take care, therefore, a literature, judicial, legislative and empirical research that addresses, despite the New Constitutionalism and UNASUR qualify as construction moves, both based special relevance for a policy to reduce the inequalities that affect both the Latin America, in constant search for truly democratic, participatory, inclusive and pluralistic. This study aims to point out the possibility of UNASUR as a new project of South American integration in effect, be a mechanism for effective regional union that goes beyond the merely economic bias and can finally achieve success in building a South American identity truly concerned about human well-being in its entirety. Some common elements to the New Democratic Constitutionalism Latin American and UNASUR are represented by the construction of a socio-environmental biocentric paradigm (beyond the anthropocentric), the South American regional integration and participative democracy.
