Resumo: |
The present work investigated how questions related to sexuality are being addressed in the school by teachers, as well as highlighted their views on the subject. The study had as its starting point a historical-social conception of sexuality, which was conceived as a historical device, therefore susceptible of variations. From the contextualization of sexuality, its unfolding in the concepts of family, gender and sexual diversity were discussed. The theme was understood in its larger dimension, overflowing the biological limits and considering the subjectivity of the sexual subject. Before arriving at the teachers in the investigated school, it was necessary to historically contextualize the institution, where its origins go back to the process of colonization. Not only education, but sexuality and the constitution of the Brazilian family remind us of the process of colonization, through contact between colonizer and colonized. In order to elucidate the problematic in school, it was fundamental to analyze some public policies that discuss the subject, in the case the Sexual Orientation proposed in the Transversal Themes of the National Curricular Parameters. The theoretical part of the research became essential so that one could understand the institution and the investigated subjects. Therefore, no effort was spared in order to historically contextualize the themes sexuality, family, education and school. As a Methodological Approach , we have the historical-cultural and transdisciplinarity, guided by the Foucaultian studies, especially Discourse Analysis. The following methodological procedures were used: the ethnographic approach to capture the reality of the visited school, where its internal and external spaces were observed, as well as the relationships among its agents; the Oral History served as support for the interviews, allowing a relationship of understanding and depth in the dialogue with teachers; and the Comparative Perspective for conducting the studies. The subjects of the research were nine teachers of Basic Education of the Municipality of Fortaleza. As a locus of research, we have a public school of the City Hall of Fortaleza. The aim was to present, from the speech of the subjects, through Discourse Analysis and Oral History, the conceptions and practices that teachers have in dealing with sexuality in school. The results point to a teaching practice guided by the personal conceptions of the teachers, at the same time that the subject is not discussed with the students. |
