Resumo: The Jaguaribe River valley in the state of Ceará is an area of geosciences. With a typical landscape of the northeastern semi extreme relevance to the study of highland arid b acklands and characterized by the fluvial plain of the largest river in the state, its low course borders the Chapada do Apodi, where between both the Precambrian basement outcrops showing granitic features, constitut ing a complex and dynamic wi th important landforms. These units constitute a scenario with products resulting from the evolution of the Atlantic margin of the South American continent. Through analyzes with morphostructural, morphosculptural and morphoevol utionary biases, the present work contains a proposal of geomorphological evolution based on evidence collected in the field, observing the forms of reliefs and their processes integrated in the landscape. From the alos palsar images (12.5m), composition t echniques of the Digital Ele vation Model (DEM) were used in the global mapper 17v software, which allowed the identification and categorization of the landscape components, which, linked to the surveys and the verification in Field activities resulted in a compilation of information on the migration of channels in the lower course of the Jaguaribe, evidence of the lateral retreat of the Chapada do Apodi escarpment and the characterization of granitic landscapes in the outcrops interspersed in the landscape.
