The objective of this study was to perform the regional input-output analysis of water resources for the industrial sector of Ceará aiming at the mapping of direct and indirect sectorial and intersectorial water consumption based on the intermediate and final demands of this sector. For this purpose, an input-output matrix of the state's water resources was estimated based on the regional input-output matrix for the year 2013, analyzing 32 sectors and 58 prod-ucts of the economy of the Ceará, focusing specifically on 19 activities and 24 products belong-ing to the industry sector. It was found that the industry uses the lowest volume of water di-rectly, consuming only 7.2% of the total volume demanded by economic activities, but it is the sector that consumes the most water considering the indirect intersectorial consumption, ac-counting for 62.6%.
