Resumo: |
The work is an artist's dissertation, a carnival parade that gathers a little of everything, with the objective of reversing the pain in revelry, transforming mourning into carnival. My body, implied in the artistic actions and the pages, oscillates between the autobiographical performance and autoperformance, amid the letters to the deceased brother, self-portraits, poems and experiments in performance art materialized a reconciliation with the body and its image. I chose not to follow the recurring path of contemporary society to make use of detours to avoid pain, sadness or failure, I let the poetry of artistic production guide the issues to be discussed and grounded in the study. The reflection is articulated around the search for conceptual references to think about how the death of my brother reverberates in my body, producing art, affective relations and behavior changes, from authors such as Paul Zumthor, Kátia Canton, Cecilia Salles, Roland Barthes, Walter Benjamin and Vilém Flusser. What are the implications to the body and how is it implied in new actions to account for the needs imposed by grief? These considerations are diluted in my life and in our party, the Carna (Val). The artistic and academic processes are used in this folia as devices to have clues or elements to deal with and to be involved with the problematic created and performed. I realize myself the creator of a carnival, so this artist dissertation performs experiences provided by inversions through images, audios, texts and actions. I present an existential performance, based on my wishes as an artist and relationships with people, created to celebrate the miracle of life.
