Resumo: |
The present dissertation contains in its content two articles dealing with social technologies for reusing water for irrigation in the semiarid region of Ceará. Both articles used Propensity Score Matching as a method to obtain estimates of the impacts of the programs. The research data of the two aforementioned works were collected in loco, in July 2018. The first article, entitled Impact of p1 + 2 on work, income and agricultural sustainability of family farming in the semiarid Ceará, makes an assessment of the impact of P1 + 2 on income, employment and environmental sustainability of the production of its beneficiaries in the municipality of Iguatu-CE. The results found indicate that the program is promoting improvements in the agricultural and agricultural income of the beneficiary public. With regard to jobs and production sustainability, it was not possible to obtain statistically significant results from ATT. Regarding the comparison of the average sustainability index in production between beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries, there is a significant difference in favor of the group of beneficiaries. The other article - Reuse of Águas Cinzas: an analysis of the effects on income and environmental sustainability of the production of family farmers in the semi-arid region of Ceará - assesses the gray water reuse program in the Municipality and Iguatu regarding its effects on income and sustainability agricultural production. The results showed that this program is having an effect on the agricultural sustainability of the beneficiary family farmers, due to the incentive to more sustainable practices in production. |
