The search for growth is a sign and object that guides people's levels of satisfaction in relation to their professional life and how success is perceived throughout their career. The way professionals perceive their path is through how their work is carried out, whether satisfactorilyor not, and to what level it brings them personal or professional satisfaction. The general objective of this research was to analyze the Perception of Career Success of Executive Secretaries who work at a Federal Higher Education Institution. Methodologically, we used qualitative research, classified as descriptive in terms purpose. Regarding the environment, it is field research. Data were collected through a questionnaire applied to five executive secretaries who work at a federal higher education institution, the unit of analysis chosen for this study. Data were interpreted according to content analysis, with the support of the qualitative data analysis software Atlas. Ti. It concluded that the perception of career successof the executive secretaries who work at UFC who participated in this investigation, need to organize their category and build their own vision about the work and place they play in the institution. Despite pointing out positive aspects, the results point to the existence of challenges to be overcome so that a growing appreciation of their roles and responsibilities is possible, in order to enhance the skills of this professional at strategic levels in the Institution. It is necessary for the University to offer possibilities for career development that generate prospects for recognition of the profession in executive secretaries, with autonomy, so that they perceive themselves as active and independent agents. |
