Resumo: The study of Platonic transposition directly involves the study of allegory and allegorical interpretation. Like the allegory, the transposition offers us a mythical or mystique content with meanings beyond the direct discourse, whose designation tends to explain predetermined or developing elements. Like the allegorical interpretation, the transposition not only creates mythical images with hidden meanings, but interprets and modifies traditional mythical images and terms or mysteries, resignifying religious content in something different, while retaining a certain similarity with the original form, such as it occurs with mythical rationalization among allegorical interpreters. In this work, we seek to establish the relationship between allegory / allegoresis (that is, allegory and allegorical interpretation) and the Platonic transposition of traditional myths and mysteries. We will start from the construction of a critical view of those movements so common in Plato's time, to then understand how this model, although criticized by him, had been used in his philosophy, with the term commonly known for transposition. Thus, we must address the comparative elements between the allegorical and the transpositive model, but aiming to highlight the differences of this one in relation to the first, pointing out a possible way of this way of thinking about the myths within the Platonic philosophical argumentation.
