The main objective that guided this research was to know and analyze what children of five years of age point out as quality in the kindergarten they attend and how they give another meaning to this environment based on a reflection on it. In order to achieve this objective it was made an option to listen to children in a kindergarten where it also runs an elementary school; in an Education Center for Children; and in a kindergarten of the country side that runs a single group of children. The theoretical reference is based in the following legal material: a) documents for children from zero to 6 years of age in working nursery and kindergartens; b) theoretical authors that point out new elements for discussions about quality in education; c) researches that defend the importance in listening to children and consider them as subject competent and with rights. There are researches of multiple cases. Based on the central problem, the field of study is characterized by two axes: the perception and desires of the children on the kindergarten; and the elements that form the definition on quality to the children. The results of the research pointed out for the importance of a policy of training, initial and permanent, and a reflection on what education is doing; on the commitment with the educational proposal built in group; on the management with participation; on the budget for this level of assistance; on careful assistance to the desires of children. |
