Resumo: |
Starting from the central idea that the gender perspective is fundamental to the discussion about the right to the city and urban mobility, this research aims to reflect on the experiences of women in public spaces, paying attention to the particularities of these experiences in their daily displacements, especially what concerns everyday micro-violence and how it affects your right to come and go freely and safely. More specifically, the research aims to find out how street harassment occurs and how women are interpreting, experiencing and reacting to this type of violence. It is intended to identify what consequences the possibility of suffering harassment brings to the daily lives of women, especially regarding the more subjective aspects of their experiences around the city, such as the emotions, feelings and sensations that these experiences arouse. Finally, an overview of harassment initiatives that have been implemented over the last decade will be presented. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, a documental, bibliographic and social networks research was carried out, as well as a methodology developed specifically for the purposes of this research, aimed at recording the paths and occurrences and difficulties encountered by women in their daily commute. |
