The objective of this study was to analyze the accuracy of the defining characteristics of the Standard Infertility Nursing Diagnosis in people living with HIV. This is a diagnostic accuracy study, carried out at the specialized care service of the Carlos Ribeiro Family Health Center, in Fortaleza-CE. The research population consisted of 175 people living with HIV, both sexes, ≥ 18 years old, who were regularly followed up at the service. Data collection took place from February to July 2018, using two forms, namely: The first one referred to sociodemographic and clinical variables and the second investigated the defining characteristics of the nursing diagnosis Ineffective Sexuality Pattern. The data were compiled into spreadsheets of Microsoft Excel 2010 software and were analyzed using the statistical package R version 3.0.2. The descriptive analysis of the data occurred by the calculation of absolute measures, percentages, measures of central tendency and dispersion. For the analysis of the accuracy of the clinical indicators of the diagnosis of Ineffective Sexuality Standard of Nursing, the Latent Class Analysis Method was used to identify the prevalence of diagnosis in people living with HIV and the values of sensitivity and specificity accuracy) of each clinical indicator investigated, with the respective 95% confidence intervals. It was verified that 85.67% of the participants expressed the diagnosis of Nursing Pattern of Ineffective Sexuality. The defining characteristics that presented the highest sensitivity were: Alteration in sexual behavior and Alteration in relationship with significant person, while Alteration in sexual activity and Alteration in sexual behavior had greater specificity. It is believed that the knowledge of the diagnostic profile can contribute to the nursing interventions being guided by accurate diagnostic decisions, thus facilitating the construction of the appropriate action plan for people living with HIV. |
