A necessary condition to promote education is the infrastructure of the school, which encourages and enables student learning. In this sense, this dissertation aims to estimate the effect of infrastructure on the proficiencies of Portuguese and Mathematics of the 5th and 9th of basic education of the public schools in Fortaleza. For this, we use the information of Prova Brasil, in 2011, conducted by INEP. From the results it appears that there is no parsimony effects on the infrastructure of schools in relation to average proficiency. However, it should be emphasized that the state of the roof, the rooms, the library and laboratories have positive effects on the proficiencies of Portuguese and Mathematics for students in the 5th and 9th. |
