This thesis presents a study in the field of organizational behavior and on individual values and self-reported performance of intermediate leaders. The main objective of this study was to identify priorities values, specially the hierarchy of values according to the personal priorities of intermediate leaders and link them to job performance using exploratory and descriptive methodology, through a survey, scaled with questionnaires "SVS individual values" and "selfreported performance," both in Likert scale and deductive logic. It was made a census with individuals in positions of intermediate leadership in a medium-sized food industry in the state of Ceará. Data were collected electronically and analyzed by SPSS software, using descriptive statistics and factorial. The results pointed to the priorities values of motivational types Benevolence associated with Compliance, and those with better self-reported performance had a different result: Bnevolence associated with Self-determination. The overall objective was achieved because the priorities values were identified in the intermediate leadership and they were related to professional performance, checking which values are on top of those leaders with better self-reported performance. This work brought new contributions in the area of organizational behavior, particularly with organizational management, the importance of the intermediate leaders in the context of organizational leadership, understanding their values, performance, and consequently motivations. |
