Resumo: he research called "Tertiary and Maritime Leisure Practices in the Production of the East Coast Coast of Ceará" aims to understand the relationship between the flows driven by modern maritime practices and the diversification of tertiary tourism on the East Coast of Ceará, specifically in Porto das Dunas, Morro Branco and Canoa Quebrada. The maritime leisure practices have intensified, causing major changes in the coast. The vilegiatura and the tourism impelled a process of occupation and attraction of a tertiary in order to attend the visitors in Ceará. From a public planning and private initiative actions, this space was endowed with infrastructure and services. In this process, the East Coast is one of the most turistic spaces of the state, mainly the beaches of Porto Das Dunas, Morro Branco and Canoa Quebrada, where services, lodging, food, the aquatic park Beach Park, buggy rides, among others, are located. The research aimed to contribute to the understanding of the relationship between the various agents that consume the tourist space in the form of leisure (tourists and vilegiaturists) and the diversification of services on the coast of Ceará, since it is experiencing a moment of tertiarization of the economy, with the valuation of coastal areas. Thus, we list as specific objectives to discuss the role of the tertiary in the process of urbanization and coastal metropolization; identify and specify the main flows that use Porto das Dunas, Morro Branco and Canoa Quebrada for leisure; point out and detail the tourist services driven by modern maritime practices; and understand the strategies of private agents to meet the specificities of tourist services. About the methodological procedures, bibliographic research was used, consultation of institutional and tourism websites, newspaper news, field research through conversations, observations and photographic records, besides the application of a semi-structured questionnaire with the help of the WhatsApp application. The Eastern Coast localities have differences in terms of tourist services. We highlight that in Porto das Dunas, the space was occupied by large hotel developments, especially by resorts and residential condominiums that offer various services to visitors, impacting the production of the space. In Morro Branco the tourist services are traditional and smaller. The locality goes through a period of popularization of the flows, having as one of the main consumers the excursionists who arrive through the tourist agencies. The buggy rides correspond to services that have an impact on the organization of the tourist space, due to the complexity of relationships that are established between these agents and services located in the metropolis. As far as Canoa Quebrada is concerned, it is out of step with the other localities, as it concentrates a large quantity of tourist services such as hotels, inns, restaurants and handicraft shops concentrated in its tourist avenue.
