Resumo: |
This study aims to examine the proportionality of the state budget execution with regard to current expenditure and investment subject to the influence of the electoral policy cycle from 2001 to 2011. Therefore, we investigated the existence of the electoral cycle in budget variables, such as total revenues, current expenditure and investment through an econometric model to data assembled panel adopting the estimation method of generalized moments. The results showed the presence of political cycle only in current expenditure variables and investment. |
