Entre dizeres e silenciamentos : uma análise discursiva do Jornal da Assembleia de Alagoas

This research has the aim of understanding the meanings effects from the Jornal da Assembleia (JA) discourse a newspaper produced by Legislative Assembly of Alagoas during 2007 and 2008, the same period of Taturana operation. This operation was done by the Federal Police, that investigated the deviation of 300 million from the Legislative, which the main accused were the state legislator. The Taturana operation is taken as discursive event silenced by the Jornal da Assembleia . To analyze such discourse, the adopted theoretical reference is the discourse analysis (AD) by Pêcheux, considered as a critique discourse and language theory. The data is composed of discursive utterances taken from 16 ALE printed, but it also has some discursive sequences from others newspapers from Alagoas, such as Gazeta de Alagoas , Tribuna Independente and O Jornal , which were included to contrast the sayings presented in its evidence effect. We understand that there is no free press, because the spread of news serves to pressideological policy of the means of communication, the fragments taken from the spread were observed according to the interests involved. After the analysis, we could see that the Jornal da Assembleia discourse from 2007 to 2008 worked as an attempt to homogenize and to silence the sayings that could make fragile the meanings intended to be dominant. The silence policy shown in the way of domination interdicts the meaning and at the same time it goes beyond of the words limits . In this way, the discourse of the Jornal da Assembleia was done, and it worked to control the sayings in a space full of meanings.
