Resumo:	The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of the Family Health Program (PSF) on the infant mortality rate (IMR) in the municipalities in Alagoas period 2005-2008, ie as to when the PSF has fulfilled its role to reduce infant mortality rate of less than 1 year. From the panel data (static and dynamic) of the municipalities Alagoas, we estimate the effect of PSF on infant mortality rates through the fixed effect models, Generalized Least Squares (GLS) and Generalized Method of Moments (GMM). The result is what one might note that the family health program, and another doctor to factor as the coefficient per thousand decrease the infant mortality rate (IMR) in the period.
