Resumo: | This paper aims to present a scientific-technological mapping of Blockchain technology (BC), showing its evolution, versatility and applications in the most diverse areas. The classification of patents was also sought, pointing out which sectors are highlighted and highlighting inventors, as well as depositors involved with this technology. This research is classified as quantitative, and its nature is applied research, with blockchain technology as the central theme of study, through technological monitoring methods. The research was performed on scientific documents in the Scopus database, other non-indexed publications were not retrieved, while for patent documents, the Questel-Orbit® tool was used, with coverage of publications from 87 national offices and 6 offices. regional The searches were carried out in April and May 2019 and brought the amount of 3,499 scientific documents, among them 931 articles. The result of the patent search revealed 4,897 patents related to blockchain technology, showing a sharp growth of documents related to technology since 2015. The higher number of patents related to scientific articles can be associated with the great interest of the market in this technology. The United States of America and China are the countries with the largest number of articles and patent filings, prominent among the depositors, large organizations. The technology trend points to greater convergence between blockchain and IoT for data protection, more investment opportunity and supply in the financial industry. |
