Resumo: The objective of this study was to verify the presence of ethnic-racial themes in the undergraduate course in dentistry, in order to identify how the Ethnic-Racial Relations and Health of the Black Population have been approached in the Pedagogical Project and in the contents of the curricular matrix of the course. Methodologically, it consists of a documental study, exploratory and qualitative, based on the recommendations of the Curricular Guidelines for Ethnic-Racial Relations, the Integral Health Policy of the Black Population and the National Curricular Guidelines for the Dentistry Course. The research focused to the critical analysis of documents of a public undergraduate course in Dentistry in the State of Alagoas. Data collection took place from February 2018 to April 2018. For extraction of information, an instrumental matrix was used from the following categories: Explicit Ethnic-Racial Relations and Black Population Health in the Fundamentals and Justification for Formation of the dentist surgeon; The Afro-Brazilian ethnic-racial dimension in the objectives; Skills and Skills; Ethnic-Racial Relations in Organization and Content, the latter being divided into seven subcategories. Data were analyzed from the perspective of content analysis. The results of the research demonstrated the existence of a silencing about Ethnic-Racial relations in the structure of the Pedagogical Project in the fundamentals and justifications, as well as in the objectives and competences for the training of the dental surgeon. In the content approaches, no elements were identified that consider the ethnic-racial bias related to Black Population Health in the menus and undergraduate subjects plans. It was evidenced that the institution has aspects in the organization of the course and in the curricular matrix that allow to integrate this theme in all its formative axes in a transversal way. From the present study, two intervention products will emerge: the first will be an educational proposal that will include recommendations for the insertion of ethnic-racial themes related to the health of the black population, in the Pedagogical Project of the Course - PPC, in the curricular matrix and in the teaching plans of the undergraduate courses in Dentistry. The second product will be a channel on a video platform, enabling the production and dissemination of content with the Black Population Health theme, contributing to the study and reflection by teachers and students. This tool will also enable access and sharing of information and concepts in a simpler and more practical way.
