Resumo: | The present Academic Work of Course Completion (TACC) of the Professional Master in Health Education (MEPS) of the Faculty of Medicine (FAMED) of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) consists of a scientific article and an intervention product, both arising of the research entitled “Social Control in the training of students: contribution of preceptorship in Primary Care”. The study seeks to show how preceptors understand the importance of social control in the training of students in the exercise of preceptorship, aiming to analyze how social control is approached in the training of undergraduate students by preceptors in Primary Care. The research has an exploratory qualitative approach that used the Focus Group (FG) technique for data collection. Eight preceptors who work in the health units of the VII Sanitary District (DS) of Maceió (AL) participated in the research, and seven students who did or were in mandatory internship in these units. For data analysis, analysis of Bardin's content was used, which made it possible to identify categories and subcategories, namely: 1) Conception of social control; 2) Participation and social control in the health service. In this category, two subcategories were created, namely: Political interference and performance of users, workers and managers in social control spaces in the health service; and, 3) Activities developed during the internship characterized as social control. The results pointed to a different understanding on the theme of social control presented by students and tutors; little implementation of activities during the internship that worked on social control; absence of the professional / tutor in promoting participation and social control with users and students; need for pedagogical training of professionals who are in the preceptorship and strengthening of Permanent Education in Health (EPS). With the results it was possible to elaborate a scientific article and the creation of an animated video entitled: Preceptor in Primary Care of SUS, what is your role in promoting Social Control during the internship? It is expected that the video will be used in moments of Permanent Education by the preceptors. Likewise, it is hoped that the research can contribute to training that takes into account the importance of social control for affirming health policy and for a greater political commitment by students, professionals / preceptors, teachers, community and managers. |
