Resumo: The study – The exercise of preceptorship in the ESF per the preceptors of the Medicine major’s undergraduates of UFAL – allowed us to evidence how the preceptors understand the current or previous experience in the teaching-learning process, in the preceptorship exercise, from the changes of the governmental politics about educating health professionals with the final focus on SUS. After ten years of curricular reform in the medicine major of UFAL, and observing the low accession of the professionals to the preceptorship, it arose the necessity of understanding the motivations for the accession, permanence and evasion to the exercise of the preceptorship focusing on contributing to the effective integration of teaching-service. It was decided to listen to the preceptor about the medical training, internships, responsibilities and the roles of the university and the service about the teaching and the experience of the preceptor’s role. It was interviewed seventeen doctors that operate or operated as preceptors in the UBSF of Maceió municipality. The speaks were analyzed by the software Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de textes et de questionnaires (IRAMUTEQ). The research showed, as the major difficulty factor for the accession and permanence of preceptors, the fragility in the integration of teaching-service management, and the challenges imposed to the academy and the service: the interference of the hegemonic liberal model of health work in the management of the teaching-service integration, in the practice of the preceptorship and in the preceptor’s understanding about the medical profile; the necessity of a review of compromises and responsibilities towards the medical training by the entities involved; the services’ precarity; the inexistence of a politics of pedagogic formation and the financial institutional services, especially in supporting the preceptorship. The preceptors show the necessity of the acknowledgement of the preceptors function by the academy and by the service, dimensioning the internships in the UBSF as important to the medical training. The work arises with the perspective of having as intervention products: 1 – the indication of a resolution In the deliberative instances of CIR and CIES, that guarantees the preceptor’s right to speak and to vote; 2 – the suggestion of including in the FAMED-UFAL website, a tab nominated the preceptor’s space, aiming to secure the professional acknowledgement, and viability to communication with the preceptor; 3 – the edition of a book with specific texts to the practice of preceptorship in health, developed in the master’s degree of health teaching.
