Resumo: | This study aims to analyze the relationship between public and private in mental health policy in Maceió-AL in the context of psychiatric reform, aiming to discover how expresses this relationship and the implied capital motivations to capture the public fund for the encouragement of private sector at the expense of public mental health within the Unified health System (SUS) at the local level. Thus, to achieve our goal, we draw an investigation into the historical process of constitution health and mental health and the changes that occurred in mental health by the psychiatric reform process by identifying the first times that the private sector was present in the process . We also seek to identify the configuration of the Psychosocial Care Network in Maceió-AL, and in parallel we underline the services that make up the private sector of mental health care. Through these considerations we can analyze the work object in question, namely: the relationship between public and private in the mental health policy in Maceió-AL. It is in the contemporary context, we see this strong relationship established, as guided by the neoliberal measures, health and mental health action has negatively been affected by the focus, selectivity and privatization of services. So, this work expresses as it is this relationship, and the implications for public mental health services that integrate the Psychosocial Care Network in Maceió-AL reality. For this analysis we used predominantly to literature and documentary research that supported the interpretation of the object of study. |
