Considering that the norms of the Federal University of Alagoas that regulate the innovation policy are of 2008 and that in 2016 a new law of Science, Technology and Innovation (Law 13.243/2016) was also sanctioned, also known as New Science Framework, Technology and Innovation that modifies ten other federal laws and that in 2018 entered into force its Decree (nº 9.283/2018) that regulates it, the present work aims to make a detailed study of this law and its decree, the motives of the proposed changes and, mainly, to carry out a study to update the standards of UFAL for innovation, proposing a draft Resolution that will put in place the policy of innovation, intellectual property, partnerships with public and private institutions and transfer of technology in the University so that it fits to all the news brought by the New Legal Framework and its Decree, bringing greater legal certainty in its administrative acts.
