In the present study sought to identify possibilities forinter-linking the knowledge of Geography and Paleontology associated with the use of the paleontological potential existing in the municipality of Ponta Grossa, in educational perspective and management of the territory. Thus, it was made the survey and analysis of content and geographic routing methodology proposed in the Basic Curriculum elementary school for the Public School of the State of Parana, 1990, the National Curricular Parameters, 1998, and the Guidelines for Curriculum Geography for Basic Education of the State of Parana, 2006, with the aim of identifying the content that allow the interrelation Geography and Paleontology. Also, there was the lifting of the state education establishments, and the blooms fossiliferous located in the urban area of Ponta Grossa, which were identified, located and described. The determination of the coordinates of schools and outcrops allowed the development of a major cartographic material, which was later used to define the areas that have been turned into a vital tool for the description of them. In possession of this information indicated up ways to use the paleontological potential through activities that include field work in these outcrops of the teachers of geography that act in the series final of the Middle and elementary school. With the data collected during the search was evident that there is in fact the possibility of working paleontological content, when approach of certain content of geography, using the existing heritage fossiliferous, mainly in the urban area, for the development of business practices. Often the location of the blooms is coincident with the actual place of residence or location of students from state schools, which makes it appropriate to include such issues in the activities of education, to provide the theoretical and practical contribution educating allowing it can establish a harmonious relationship with their living space. |
