Resumo: |
The central objective of this study is to analyze the process of population relocation and the consequences of this on women relocated during the construction of the Mauá Hydroelectric Plant, located on the Tibagi River, between the cities of Ortigueira and Telemaco Borba, State of Parana. For this, we assume that the construction of dams in Brazil has always had significant relevance in the context of economic growth. Thus, when it comes to power generation, one should take into account their significance for the capitalist system, which has an important function of preservation and maintenance of the production process, a condition for the so-called Brazilian economic development. Thus, we point out the consequences of population relocation in the lives of women farmers relocated for the construction of the Mauá Hydroelectric Power Plant. The construction of this study sought to highlight the woman agriculture affected by the Mauá Hydroelectric Plant, from the gender invisibility present in environmental licensing studies and statements of the research subjects. In this sense, we launched qualitative research hand with exploratory, aiming to demonstrate its uniqueness in the context of population relocation of the construction of Hydroelectric Plant that despite the changes in the life of affected, did not represent the possibility of building a positive outlook on the future. On the contrary, it identifies the prevalence among women, a pessimistic view, focused only on the present, not managing to glimpse life projects and therefore having great difficulty breaking the shackles on the economic and social constraints. Through research it was found that although the Mauá Hydroelectric Plant has brought income security for women, it did not represent a break with the patriarchal logic that oppresses and sick women in the region of Ortigueira / PR. |
