Resumo: My dissertation presents an analysis of the works of Adolfo Caminha and Caio Fernando Abreu, using the aesthetics of reception as a tool for deepening within the sexuality aspects about the literary texts. The objective is identify and analyze the homoerotic manifestations within the canon and the postmodern, using me the aesthetics of reception, ie, as we readers understand the books by directing that reading through the writings on sexuality. Sexuality still crawl within the study of social sciences, the humanities, the letters, it is so important in the study of homoerotic literature, standards seeking to deconstruct heteronormative taxes and social history throughout the ages. During the analysis of the novel naturalist "Bom Crioulo" and contemporary tales "Terça-Feira Gorda" and "Aqueles Dois," I could work with authors like Michel Foucault, Guacira Lopes Louro, Pierre Bourdieu, Richard Miskolci, Jean-Paul Sartre, Edward W. Said, among others, using their enlightening theories that served as the theoretical foundation of this work. I could realize, therefore, that literary works here to explore in detail the male homosexualities, working sometimes through the exercise of physical and symbolic violence, bringing to light reflection from the perspective of men who desire other men in different historical contexts through different literary genres. We, the readers, are fundamental elements within the literary hermeneutics which I proposed on this paper.
