Resumo: The present tese approach the territorial conflicts and rites of passage (iniciaty party) at Pindaré Indigenous Land. This indiegnous land is locted on county of Bom Jarim East of Marnhao states. Thereabout 260 Km of the capital São Luís being crossed by the highway 316. This conflicts happens among differents antagonist groups (fishimen, hunters, small farmes, smoller cows rise, and biger farmes that lives in village nearby the indigenous boundaries of the indigenous territory) and the Tenetehara. Thus, the following research aims to map the main festivals that take place in the Pindaré Indigenous Land, correlating these practices with the territory of the Tenetehara. In addition, for the development of the research, interviews with social agents, interviews of local and historical newspapers about the conflicts and about the practices of their parties were used. Moreover, The Tenetehara went through a process of colonization, with the arrival of the Portuguese crown, the Tenetehara had a contact with the Jesuits who came with the intuition of catequisa the so-called "natives", as a way to make them "civilized", but that the main objective was to turn them into labor for the crown. Futhremore, the Teneteha resistance was lasted for many years, the contact occurred, the proces of evangelization reached them, and with that the struggles intensified throughout the territory generating a “Processo de Territorialização” as addrees Oliveira (2016). The Tenetehar struggle for the territory, is not limited to a struggle for only a geographical dimension, but has a cultural and ethnic relation that, Almeida (2008, p.118 ) approach that this struggle for territory “tem uma expressão identitária traduzida por extensões territoriais de pertencimento”. Finally, for the tenetehara the struggle for territory is a struggle for life, you can not think of it without thinking about its cultural practices, its identity, everything is related to this place. Likewise, the tirual represent the change in the social status of boys and girls, who from that moment on will be entering a new context within the society of the Tenetehara, occupying diverse social functions within their respective village .
