Resumo: | To contribute to History of Religions and Religiosities and the studies of beliefs, the focus of this research consists analyzing and comprehending the space and the role of Afro-Brazilians religions in the process of foundation and development of the city of Maringá-PR., beyond of the newspaper O Diário do Norte do Paraná. In the view to recover the memorialist production, it was making work the concepts of social place (CERTEAU, 1982) and of collective memory (ROUSSO, 2006; RICOUER, 2007). The approach of the dialog between the edition and reading public, from the concept of representation (CHARTIER, 2002) allows to map the use of the terms which reflects knowledge produced between the centuries XIX and XX, the belief that Afro-Brazilians religious rictus aims the maleficence and, the relation of this beliefs to the capacity of the seer. From the reading and analyze of the documentation, have been found that the newspaper attributed the space of Afro-Brazilians manifestations sections like: culture and entertainment pages, chronicles and opinion articles, police happenings, and reporting Afro-Brazilians religions leaderships as interlocutors. The geographical mapping, and the field research to produce that, gave the opportunity to identify of the first manifestations of mediumship, of the initiation of religious leaderships and the relation created between them. Finally, it was evidenced the physical and historical presence of Afro-Brazilians religions in the city of Maringá. The space of memory was thought how the mean to prioritize determined aspects of the past in the urban architecture. (TUAN, 1983; ROSENDAHL, 1999; 2008) |
