Resumo: This study of zoogeography interfaced with Geography and Health points out the spatial analysis of the behavior of Columbidae in urban and rural axes of Maringá - PR, demonstrating the need for proper management thereof by public environmental management and rehabilitation of the population. This dissertation aimed to collect data on the occurrence of two species of Maringá Columbidae from 2001 to 2012, and later daily observation of the species of Columbidae spatially distributed in order to identify potential risk areas of zoonoses transmitted by these species to the population. The spatial distribution enabled the visualization of risk areas overlaying maps of population density, in order to identify potential risk areas of zoonoses transmitted by these species to the human species. Columbidae species evaluated were Zenaida auriculata species native to Brazil ,which remains on the field during the day and is allocated in flocks in dormitories in the city overnight, and the Columba livia species is exotic and nests in the city, and feeds on thereof. With the mapping of higher concentrations of the two species were identified as possible areas for management and minimization of problems generated by overcrowding of these birds in urban and rural environments. With respect to Zenaida auriculata, the count of the population by momentosde observation was made, as well as the above-mentioned kind. In the field was recorded a population of approximately 2816 individuals and dormitories that spread through the city, ie the point of watching birds flying to other parts of the city, was recorded a population of about 2858, resulting in a difference of 42 individuals between the two scores, which attests to the daily migration between Zenaida zonasrural and urban. Spatial analysis allowed to view the vulnerability risk of zoonoses to residents because the areas of population concentration of Columba livia, in the central areas of the city where this large flow of people, resulting in food supply by intensifying the accumulation of food debris the same, and is for nesting space. The study points out, is a correct bird management, responsibility for public management and their interfaces, as well as an environmental rehabilitation of the population, so that the birds see it as an integral part of the ecosystem of the city, and not as an undesirable fauna that should be eliminated, not recognized as an element of urban and rural environments.
