Resumo: | Currently, it's possible to realize, despite the extensive literature about the university scenario in Brazil, there is still a gap when it comes to the campus space planning and architecture implemented in the same. There is the need to create models that are reference to the physical planning of higher education institutions as well as the review of campus projects that still follow project guidelines developed at the time of the creation of their universities. To contribute to the discussion of urban and architectural planning on the campus scale, this research aims to record and interpret the design of the Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL) and Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM), in Brazil, and assess their current situation from the user´s perception through a qualitative research. To comply with this goal this survey is divided into three stages based on documentary research and bibliographic research. The methodology used in this research is based on the characterization of the the context of consolidating the universities of this case study, the record and analysis of initial and current projects of these campuses, and the analysis of environmental quality from the user's perception through questionnaires. These results indicate that, from a technical point of view, the analyzed campuses present several problems. Some for non full realization of initial projects; others for their inadequacy or need to upgrade. The user's point of view confirms technical analysis, highlighting the issues involving the quality of buildings, the conflicts of the road system and the lack of living areas in the two institutions. |
