Resumo: | In this work is carried out an evaluation of urban public transportation system in Maringá, focusing wheelchair?s insertion in conventional public transportation. The definition of wheelchairs as a group of study is based on the greater difficult on moving themselves, since they depend on good conditions of the urban environment to move around with their chairs. The methodology is based on accessibility standards and evaluates bus stops, inside vehicles layout and the equipment designed to board and de-board. The results show that the bus stops have bad infrastructure as much as they are far from the central area; few sidewalks ramps and the amount of interferences are the greater impedance factors. The equipments to board and de-board, in this case vehicular lifts platform, had great as concept, attending the standards of NBR 14022/2006. About the inside vehicles layout the evaluation shows that, although there is vehicular lift platform, they are in disagreement with the standards, mainly about the space for placing the wheelchair, the space to maneuvering and the mechanism to lock the wheelchair, bringing regular as a concept. |
