Inovação e capacidade de absorção da informação : um estudo em PMEs do segmento industrial de confecções do vestuário

Resumo: The competitiveness between organizations led to the enhancement of knowledge, research and value creation, thereby leading to innovation that, in turn, depends on sources of information and the ability to absorb information. This research examines the relationship between information sources, absorption capacity of information and innovation in SMEs entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial segment of industrial confections clothing in Maringa, State of Parana. These companies are predominantly micro, small and medium businesses - SMEs, high representative and important regional economic generators of employment and income. Were introduced into the region by women, these being the main leaders and having the workforce composed mostly of women. The research was exploratory in nature and quantitatively, through a survey with structured questionnaire with 34 entrepreneurs (17 men and 17 women). The results showed that these companies are not characterized as innovative, with low absorptive capacity of the information in accordance with the model of Julien et al (2009) used in the research. Innovations present themselves as poor in general and following trends taking influences coming from other companies, such as suppliers and competitors. And considering the gender perspective, the results showed no difference in the absorption capacity of information and innovation among companies of men and women. The absorption capacity of the information presented as low as weak and innovations, even with different sources of information and a take men and women.
