Educação a distância na ótica discente : a análise dos discursos de estudantes de licenciaturas em Física e Pedagogia da Universidade Estadual de Maringá

Resumo: Given the expansion of distance education and the importance that this modality presupposes to facilitate access to public Higher Education through the program Open University of Brazil, this research aims to find answers to your research question: what do the revealing speeches of senior undergraduate students of the courses in Physics and Pedagogy of the State University of Maringá - PR, on the modality of distance education and more specifically, on the constituent elements of each course? To do it so, twenty six undergraduate students answered a questionnaire and gave interviews that were included on the theory of discourse analysis of the French line. From the discourses, many specific directions to the DL emanated, as well as the expectations and needs of the students about the course they chose, how students organize themselves to study, managing time and space for it, what do they think about the methodology employed in the distance modality, how do they use the resources available for learning, such as: printed books, Video lessons, Web Conference and Virtual Learning Environment - Moodle and interaction between students, distance and face-to-face tutors, and classmates. The strong influence of "images", built throughout the History of classroom schooling, being this particular one the parameter to the testimonies; to the existing differences amongst students of distance learning courses of Physics and Pedagogy, the difficulties in the area of Mathematics and the use of scientific language as a barrier to the learning process in Higher Education; the inflexibility of syllabus and schedules negatively influencing the learning of academics; the resistance and limited use of ICT as mediators of the teaching and learning process and the importance of the actions of tutors and study groups organized among students themselves for effective learning.
