Resumo: | The great challenge of modern cities is the growth and urban development can provide quality of life and environment for its residents. The practice of urban sustainability generates this attribute the improvement and reduction of environmental risks in the city. Environments to provide comfortable, healthy and safe, encouraging the use of outdoor spaces, you should work on the relationship of the built environment to climatic conditions. Thus, the quality of places should be quantified, and is seeking properties that make measurable. The scope of this research is to suggest indicators of sustainability coupled with principles of sustainable urban housing development, to thus be capable of verification for the performance evaluation of the quality of space experienced. The aim is therefore constitute a plan, proposing to establish the quality of living in the urban environment, with wide streets, trees and appropriate for the site; sustainable occupation and encouraged the feasibility of reducing air pollution from urban parks. Planning to deal with these variables will be directly responsible for more pressing concern of the quality of urban space. In addition, proper planning of environmental issues with a focus on sustainability, considering both the cities, as the landscape and its ecosystems, help balance and survival of all ecosystems on Earth. It is intended, therefore, through this research provide information to reduce environmental impacts in cities, such as reducing greenhouse gases and high power consumption. The aim is mainly to collect information on the best use of space built in the city in relation to urban comfort. The research also seeks to develop a proposal for indicators of environmental sustainability and urban design, employing them to benchmark the quality of life and the environment in settlements in the city of Maringá, Paraná. This proposal may serve as an aid in the method of city planning in relation to the environment and economic development. |
