Resumo: The field of study of linguistics on the act of naming by speakers of a language makes it possible to identify social and cultural characteristics of a people. Toponymy is a path to such reflection. A linguistic discipline, toponymy studies the proper names of places, their origin and evolution, analyzing their relationships with culture from an interdisciplinary perspective. From this perspective, this doctoral research deals with the bilingual toponymic study of health units in Feira de Santana-BA. The general objective of this work is to inventory the motivations of the toponyms of the health units in Feira de Santana-Ba in Portuguese and in Libras. Health units were investigated based on the three levels of complexity postulated by the Ministry of Health (low, medium and high complexity). Data collection was carried out at the municipality's health department, in the DataSUS database and at the Feira de Santana Association of the Deaf. Some of the theoretical references that supported this study in the field of lexicological and toponymic studies were Biderman (1984; 1998; 2001), Haensch (1982), Werner (1982), Vilela (1983), Barreiros, L., (2017), Dauzat (1926), Dick (1990, 1992), Seabra (2004, 2006) and in studies on Libras Felipe (2006), Ferreira (1995), Gesser (2009), Souza Júnior (2012), Karnopp, Quadros (2004), Quadros (2019), Sousa (2017, 2020) among others. As a result, it is proposed to create the mimetoponym tax based on the characteristics found in some studied toponyms, reflection on the access of deaf people to the health system in the studied location and as a product, the TopoLibras website was built as a tool to systematize and disseminate this research. This thesis will contribute to toponymic studies in Bahia, facilitate access to the Feira de Santana-Ba health system for deaf people in this city, in addition to providing an understanding of
