This dissertation focuses on the representation of the school and teaching in five films, entitled The Freedom Writers, Between The Class, Not One Less, The Language of Moths and Opus and its implications for initial teacher training process. The aim of the research was to analyze how schools and teaching are represented by contemporary cinema and the implications that these images bring to the initial teacher training route in the territory of Sisal from the display and discussion of cinematic and narrative (auto) biographical - the trajectories of schooling in basic education and experiences within these subject itinerancies personal staff. They consist of research actors and actresses twenty-three students of BA in Geography and Education within the scope of the university extension course and Teacher Training Language Film: Life Stories, Memories and Narratives (Auto) biographical offered by the Department of Education, University of Bahia, Campus XI Serrinha, between academic semesters of 2009.1 to 2010.2. The study reveals that cinema is an enabling device self-formative subject to review their personal and professional identity, from memories of school and family trajectories. The subjectivities of the life history and the formative process of students / teachers in initial training are socialized through the oral and written narratives, establishing ways to understand the choice of the teaching profession. |
