Resumo: |
This study proposes an investigation of the author's lyrical urban of Maria da Conceição Paranhos from Bahia (1944) through critical analysis of some of her poems most representative of this theme. Located in what we call Generation of 60 contemporary literature of the twentieth century in Bahia, Maria da Conceição Paranhos, essayist, playwright and poet, is one of the significant names of lyricism in Bahia appointed by the critics. The central theme of this paper discusses the images of the city as a structuring element of urban poetry of considerable content. Therefore, the development of these readings we borrow the literary reflections, theoretical and critical, Aleilton Fonseca (1997) on poetry and the city and the investigations of Octavio Paz and Roland Barthes on the poeticphenomenon. Having in mind that the poetry of Paranhos presents significant elements of urban life, we will analyze the various representations that the author brings in this plan, considering the images that related directly to the sensations experienced in the city space. The corpus of this analysis was selected from works of poems published in different stages of production of the author, to the extent that matched the theme. We also point out in some selected poems, memory as an important survival tool of poetic voice in the urban space, through which the poet brings back images of the past as a way of recreating the present reality. Therefore, with this dissertation, we intend to make a contribution to the development of studies on contemporary Brazilian poetry, as well as expand the critical fortune of a significant author of aesthetical production and profit. With this aim, we have the vast poetic production of the author and a significant collection of theoretical references on relevant issues to this analysis. |
