Resumo: This research is about the practical English Language (EL) teaching reading from teacher’s work using discussive genre in the verb-visual cartoon and protest poster, through intercultural language perspective to the student under the Programa Nacional de Integração da Educação Profissional (Proeja - Professional Technical Education). The basis of the research question starts on: how does the EL teaching, from text reading activities in the verb-visual genre, contribute to the expansion of the intercultural perception of this foreign language by students of Proeja Administration school? The general objective is understanding how EL teaching, from contextualized discussive verb-visual genre based on sociocultural real events which provide to the development of the intercultural reading practice of the Proeja students from CEEPSCB school. Theoretically, the basis of the studies of reading practices, EL teaching, verb-visual discussive genre. As a methodological horizon, it was decided to use the survey founded through netnography qualitative approach, using the mechanism of building and the information analysis and online interview in the Google Meet virtual platform and Didactic Sequence of methodologyof application. The participants of the research are eleven students form Administration school course at the Centro Estadual de Educação Profissional em Saúde do Centro Baiano (CEEPSCB), in Feira de Santana, Bahia, Brazil. The research result point out the the importance of reading practice development through intercultural perspective focused on an English school subject pedagogical application to furnish to the problematization of the English verb-visual reading objective spotlighted the student critical and reflexive approach about political and social issues.
