Resumo: The present work approaches the daily one, social contexts and the reminiscências of the women of the bahian elite, from the clothes collections, available in the Museum Henriqueta Catharino – Salvador-BA, in the end of century XIX and beginning of century XX. In the decades of 1890-1920. To reconstitute the practical ones of the bahian women, played in these periods, the documentary sets, archives, material quantities (clothes and accessories) organized by the Feminine Institute of the Bahia had been analyzed, made consultations to the archives of the Clement Foundation Mariani and to the Nucleus Interdisciplinar de Estudos fashionable (NIEM _Vitória da Conquista - BA). Being the carrying clothes of an ample gamma of ideological meanings, they had been analyzed and adapted references of the theoretical and metodológicos models of the areas of the knowledge: Fashion, Anthropology, Semiotics, Sociology and, mainly, of History: Social, Cultural, Feminine Studies and of Sort. From the comment and study of the consulted sources, one became possible to point that in many occasions the representations of the feminine vestiges, had been reproduced and conserved as the dominant structures, but on the other hand, exactly mentioning the “women of the elites”, such practical vestimentares, had been revealing of individuality expressions, of changes, redefinitions, evidencing them, in order to constitute “producing citizens” of its historicidades.
