The objective of this research is the study of the economic valuation of the environmental resource as a way to obtain a mechanism to fix the quantum indemnity in cases of environmental damages. As specific objectives, it analyzes the principles of Environmental Law related to the research theme; Studies the international events that initiated the study on the protection of the environment; Also analyzes the civil liability and quantification of environmental damage, as well as a case study, referential study, regarding the quantification of environmental damages. In the scientific research the methodology was used as the deductive, historical and case study method in a referential way. For the data collection, the doctrinal, documentary bibliographical research was adopted, with an exploratory objective of a qualitative approach. In this way, he presented the importance of valuing Natural Resources by presenting instruments so that the Judiciary can quantify environmental damages so that society can be effectively indemnified. The Judiciary, as evidenced in scientific research, must use valuation methods of Environmental Resources to base its decisions for the effective fulfillment of the Federal Constitution.
