Resumo: This paper presents the results of a survey conducted in the Masters course in Academic Teaching Science in Amazonia, in a School of Municipal Schools of the City of Manaus - AM, which aimed to show how the process of teaching - learning in the first years of elementary school classes in Natural Sciences, seeking to highlight elements that can contribute to the process of Education in this discipline. For this, we used the qualitative research approach, because we want to observe the problem focusing its development, without losing sight of the different dimensions that constitute it and the relations established between the fact and the subject selected. The instruments used to collect data on the development of research and interview techniques were applied in the survey own school environment and as subjects, students and teachers of the early years of elementary school. The results of the analysis were collected through written annotations, photographs and drawings of the students. Thereafter we analyze teachers through the teaching - learning process mainly mobilize the knowledge of the experience developed in their pedagogical practice, showing that such knowledge resulting from interactions teachers in different moments of their actions and they produce in the context of practical teaching knowledge to serve do pedagogic support.
