Resumo: | This work has as main objective to realize a interpretative rhetorical study, of Poem of the five songs of Francisco Mignone. It aims at the surch and dissemination of the Brazilian chamber music and one of its most important representatives, Francisco Mignone, and a glimpse of the person and work of Mário Quintana, and the singer Magdalena Lébeis. In order to introduce and contextualize this work, a biographical and historical survey of the composer's life was carried out based on the existing bibliography. In this study, whose approach is ontological, we will try to bring a rhetorical analysis as one of the investigative subsidies, as well as the technical and compositional elements used by Mignone in this cycle of songs. The conclusion of this work brings together the information obtained through the analysis, identifying the author's musical language, the interaction of the work by the performers, singer and pianist, seeking to highlight the affections evoked in it and points of technical or comparative observance.
