Resumo: |
This dissertation addresses the theme: dynamic capacities as a strategic differential for sustainability in the line of research in Strategy of the Postgraduate Program in Administration (PPGADM), Professional Master in Administration of UNICENTRO. It started with an understanding of the importance of the cooperative production system, with its global, national and regional wealth generation. Cooperative organizations are inserted in the dynamic and competitive environment, and it is important to check with these organizations their dynamic capabilities in line with their strategic planning, considering the concern with sustainability, since this theme must be inserted as a pillar that gives all the processes, products and services of the organization, since the stakeholders, who are the public of interest and relationship of the cooperatives, demand certain positions related to organizational sustainability. Thus, this research sought to analyze the contribution of dynamic capacities for sustainability in an Agroindustrial Cooperative, in the evaluation of clients, assuming that this cooperative has practices, in which its dynamic capabilities can be identified. Based on the Dynamic Capabilities theory, according to the model of Wang and Ahmed (2007), besides the organizational sustainability dimensions, linked to Elkington's sustainability tripod (1994), considering the economic, social and environmental pillars. This is a descriptive research, with a quantitative approach and case study applied to the clients of the Agroindustrial Cooperative. A questionnaire was applied to customers located in Brazil, using a 5-point Likert questionnaire, structured with closed questions and developed based on the theory of dynamic capacities and organizational sustainability. The survey was made available through the SurveyMonkey® Online Survey Platform, with e-mail being triggered for 1,220 contacts who would be the customers or buyers responsible for the decision to purchase the cooperative's products, resulting in 122 valid effective respondents. The quantitative data were submitted to statistical treatment using SPSS software, under descriptive analysis, cluster analysis and correlation analysis. It was verified that the cooperative has practices focused on organizational sustainability. In the perception of customers, the cooperative has the dynamic capabilities necessary to meet the sustainability criteria demanded by them. By cluster analysis, it was possible to identify two groups of clients that evaluate the cooperative in different ways, analyzing the construct of the dynamic capacities, the construct of the dimensions of organizational sustainability and the construct of the internal processes of the organization. The hypotheses were proven through the correlation analyzes that showed that the dynamic capacities are positively related to the degree of concern with the sustainability of the cooperative, and there are even different levels of collection of the sustainability criteria when considering the clients' company size. It was possible to identify that the dynamic capacities contribute to sustainability in the assessment of the clients of the cooperative's different businesses. Thus, there was the contribution to the reduction of the theoretical gap on the theme focused on dynamic capacities, with its measurement through a quantitative study, linking sustainability and cooperativism. As practical contributions to the researched organization, opportunities were identified in the various segments in which it operates, as a way of using dynamic capacities as a strategic differential considering the theme of sustainability. Finally, the study could be used by management practitioners and the cooperative sector, since the present research demonstrated the importance of solving the problems faced by the clients' demands and the productive chains of the cooperative and agroindustrial sector, considering the sustainability theme. |
