This Thesis aimed to reflect about the daily work of sex professionals from the visualization of these as a historical laboratorial practice. The study was conducted with six sex professionals from two nightclubs on the city of Guarapuava- Paraná State. To encourage discussion there were used a few concepts as: the Human Rights and Citizenship, proposed by Boaventura de Souza Santos, Male Domination by Pierre Bourdieu (2002), and stigma on the light of Goffman (1988). Initially it was presented the history of prostitution over the centuries and the historical individualities of the sex professionals interviewed by me. Subsequently, were approached matters of the work of prostitution itself and its aspects. Moreover, the way how this work community develops. Finally, it was presented gender, body and sexuality on the experience of prostitution, relating themes as vision of the body, the relation between sex professionals and clients and their sexuality. The findings, through oral history narratives, allowed to know the course of daily work and the life of these women and the several bias and factors that elapses on it, such as: the reasons that made them entering in prostitution, fact linked to the life history and the socioeconomical condictions of the participants, the nightclub as a community space, going beyond of being exclusively a work place; the relation between sex professional and clients, the pleasures and powers of both on the relation; these aspects being quite alternate, sometimes to professional and sometimes to the client; the vision that they have of the profession as a job, the positive and negative factors of practicing the profession, among others. It was possible to observe that this laboratorial practice besides being within the whole stigma that the activity present, also product odd meanings on the life of these women.
