The purpose of this work is listing some developments historical of the woman trajectory in society to achieve gender equity in the political environment. For the research development, was collected some historic data about the struggle of women in society for oppression minimize and the woman integration in this environment. Some questions regarding the identity of the contemporary woman as well as the media influence and social or religious ideologies, that contributed to the maintenance or women liberation. For the better basis to this case study, was conducted through interviews with women in power positions in Guarapuava city in Paraná State.
