Resumo: |
This dissertation analyze the discourse on immigration in Folha do Oeste newspaper between 1946 and 1960, period in which there is a specific type of immigrants, initially called displaced persons or war refugees. Pass away the paper are described aspects of the policy for receiving these immigrants, mainly from the Folha do Oeste newspaper, weekly newspaper produced in Guarapuava from 1937 to 1981, and at times the only journal municipality circular, including, for various Brazilian states. To assist in the discussions, are used theoretical as Scotson and Elias (2000), Judt (2008), Nogueira (1991), Sayad (1998), Shephard (2012), among others. As a method bolsters up in the French headquarters Discourse Analysis proposed in Brazil by Orlandi (2012a, 2012b, 2013). With regard to sources, in addition to periodic above, use up the messages Bento Munhoz Governors and Moysés Lupion the Legislative Assembly of Paraná, Message of Getúlio Vargas President to Congress in 1951, the process n. 5994 of the Bureau of Political Order and Social-Santos-SP (DOPS), and data from the Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada (IPEA) and the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). Before the end of the Second World War there was a process of displacement to Germany and the end of the war these people were in camps of the acolhimentos in northern Italy, Austria and Germany. Some residents of the camps, with the help of international organizations immigrated to Canada, Australia, USA and Brazil. On landing in the new country, these people have lost their legal status as war refugees, but not their immigration status. Among those who immigrated to Brazil, mentioned by the Folha do Oeste newspaper, are the Suábios do Danúbio, Hungarians, Poles and Ukrainians. From this, as a result of research it was noticed a political speech by the Folha do Oeste newspaper because the newspaper did not actually concerned about immigrants, but by its own interests, primarily with territorial issues, because its owner has participation the expropriated land for the coming of the Suábios in the district of Entre Rios, Guarapuava (PR). Compared to other immigrants to Guarapuava, the journal presented small articles and news items. Therefore, one sees not only a unitary discourse on immigration, but several speeches, sometimes conflicting now converging. |
