The environment corporate progress is based on a constant innovation and evolution. Therefore, organizational learning has been a central focus of individual competences to be developed by the managers in organizations. It is not different in the case of franchising. There was a quantitative increase in footwear franchising units in Guarapuava, city of southern center of Paraná, especially due the implementation of the first mall in the region, guiding the importance of this study. This perspective and the need to understand the skills of manager’s leads to the central question of the present study: how do the individual skills are demonstrated and developed by the managers who work in the franchising footwear sector of Guarapuava? This research has an descriptive and qualitative character by using a case study, whit the objective of understanding the manifestation of individual competences to be developed for the performance of the function of managers who work in franchising in the footwear sector in the Guarapuava-PR, based on the Theory of Social Learning. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews applied to six managers in situ, as well by using the available literature. The content analysis technique was used to treat the data and it was possible verify the importance of the competence’s development by the managers through organizational learning, either through formal or informal practices used by each franchising. Reflections about observation, interaction and self-development were considered. It was observed the manifestation of individual competences occurs from the balance of the constructs presented that, integrated with the participative management of each franchising and the intention of keeping quality on all its franchised units. Finally, the learning through incentives from the entrepreneurs and their managers is a highlight, since allow to identified the important skills, such as, trust, flexibility, creativity, resilience, communication and recognition in a strategic and assertive, mainly by the work and effort of all organization. |
